Weekly cap at a glance

  • 1,450 pips per week is the hard cap.
  • Hitting the cap awards 365 WvW Skirmish Claim Tickets.
  • You must be at Tier 3 participation or higher to earn pips per 5-minute tick.
  • The track resets every Friday at the global WvW reset (US: ~9 PM PT, EU: ~7 PM CET).

Pip tier chart

The Skirmish Reward Track has eight pip tiers. Each tier costs more pips than the last, but every tier you push through awards a chest with materials, tickets and rare drops.

TierPips requiredChest contents (typical)
Wood25Badges, materials
Bronze55Tickets begin appearing
Silver85More tickets, ascended mats
Gold120Tickets, Memory of Battle
Platinum175Higher ticket roll
Mithril240Best non-Diamond rewards

Pip thresholds match values reported on the official GW2 Wiki — verify in-game for live values.

Pip bonuses you should care about

  • Outnumbered — when your team is outnumbered on a map, you gain extra pips per tick.
  • Commitment — the longer you stay on the same week's match, the more bonus pips you earn (resets at weekly reset).
  • WvW Rank tier — higher WvW rank brackets (Silver, Gold, Platinum) give bonus pips per tick.
  • Loyalty / community bonus — sticking with the same team across resets compounds bonus pips.

What to spend tickets on

Skirmish Tickets are spent at the Skirmish Supervisor NPC found at every WvW spawn:

Don't spend below Diamond if you can avoid it

Pushing to Diamond every week takes a lot of hours, but the per-pip ticket payout is significantly higher in Mithril+ than in Wood/Bronze. If you are time-limited, prioritise full sessions over many short ones.
